Software Developer

Reports To: Lead Software Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our dynamic team, working on cutting-edge IPTV projects developed on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) versions 7 and 11, integrated with ODM proprietary SDKs.
The ideal candidate will have a background in software development of minimum 3 years, with specific expertise in C/C++, Java, and Linux scripting, as well as knowledge of Linux, Android AOSP, Android TV, the Android framework, and native applications development. The role involves developing and enhancing our IPTV platform middleware, ensuring high performance, reliability, and a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
●Design, develop, and maintain software for IPTV solutions based on Android AOSP versions 7 and 11, incorporating ODMs proprietary SDK.
● Implement and integrate IPTV protocols, media playback features, and network services, including over-the-air updates.
● Work closely with the application development team to develop native Android application Launcher for IPTV & VOD services.
● Optimize application performance for both live and on-demand video streaming.
● Ensure compliance with all technical requirements, including network security standards and code quality.
● Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and adhere to best practices in software development.
● Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software, addressing any issues related to video and audio decoding promptly
Requirements:
●Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● Proven experience as a software developer, with a portfolio of projects in C/C++, Java, and Linux scripting.
● Understanding of Linux, Android AOSP and Android TV, including experience with Android framework and native applications development.
● Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Nice to Have:
● Familiarity with IPTV protocols, media playback mechanisms, and network technologies.
● Experience with video and audio decoding technologies.
● Knowledge of video and audio decoding, ExoPlayer, or other video players (multicast experience is a plus but not mandatory
